New set of free German flashcards online!

The response to the Animal flashcards was incredible! Thank you so much for your kind words. I am thrilled so many of your children enjoyed them.

I've just posted a new set - Bei uns im Garten (Backyard Nature). This time my dear husband recorded the sound so you have the advantage of listening to a native German speaker. Take a look and let me know what you think!

This has turned into such a fun project for me and my kids. Next we are going to try producing our own photo story. My oldest is helping to take the pictures. The two younger boys are the (not always) smiling subjects. Stay tuned for another set!

P.S. Please let me know if you have problems with the sound. I think it's a little quiet but it may just be my computer.

I agree, it could use a little more volume, but a great little production. I will use this for my children because we are all non-native students of German and it is great to have the proper pronounciation with the visual effect as well. Great photo taking too!

Thanks - I'll see what I can do about the volume. Oh and I don't deserve the credit for pictures! They are all from Flickr under a Creative Commons license. You can see a list of photo credits at http://www.alphabet-garten.com/store/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=display&ref=photocredits . I agree - they are fantastic, aren't they? I think the little frog is my favorite, although the boy holding the worms is pretty cute.

I'm so glad I found your site. My son has chosen German for his homeschool second language. Mostly he's using Rosetta Stone, but I want to have other resources on hand so I will bookmark your page and come back to read.
